The FTX Hacker Keeps Withdrawing Crypto Assets Out Of FTX Wallets

The FTX Drainer account has amassed almost $65 million worth of cryptocurrency. The hackers stole more than $650 million worth of digital currencies from wallets after an auto-update exposed keys and executed routines to multiple empty wallets activated.
FTX Keeps Sending Crypto To Drainer Address
Multiple FTX addresses are still transmitting cryptocurrency tokens to a particular FTX Drainer address, as was reported in a tweet by blockchain security company CertiK on November 15. That particular FTX Drainer Address has approximately $65 million worth of cryptocurrency assets.
In addition to that, since November 12, the FTX Drainer Address has been used to receive and trade over 3.6 billion. The hackers distributed 2.8 billion meme and profanity tokens to renowned “meme” addresses. These tokens included phrases like “F*ck FTX,” “FTX Sucks,” and “CRO Next,” among others.
The figures were revealed overnight by Nansen, an analytics business located in Singapore. They indicate that the FTX global exchange and its U.S. subsidiary had seen net withdrawals of more than $2 billion over the last week. Of which $659 million occurred in the last 24 hours.
On-chain specialists have discovered over $600 million in irregular transactions. These include withdrawals from Tether to altcoins and DAI converting to Ethereum. The statement that FTX has already been hacked and that FTX applications contain malware was corroborated by an FTX Community Chat channel administrator in a Telegram group.
As a result of unlawful access to some assets, FTX US chief counsel Ryne Miller revealed that the company had removed the capacity to conduct trading and withdrawals. In addition, he said that FTX is transferring cryptocurrency assets to a cold wallet to protect them from the breach.
